"Serpents of the Abyss", created by Camille Rose Garcia in 2021 for the "Obsidian Butterfly" exhibit in Los Angeles. This stunning print explores the idea of the Pacific Ocean as a place of solitude and refuge. Protective ocean nymphs and giant sea serpents surround an ocean shell inside a volcano, activating the elements of fire and water. Created during the pandemic, the themes of solitude and refuge are ever-present in this body of work.
Size: 24" x 30" with a 1" white border, and a 2" border on the bottom. Edition of 30 signed and numbered with hand-applied gold watercolor embellishments. Printed on heavyweight matte archival paper with archival inks by Static Medium in Los Angeles.
